C3P Software Released Cast-Designer V7.7

【Hong Kong – 20th JULY, 2022】C3P Software, a pioneer supplier of CAX & PLM solution for industrial manufacturing processes, announced today to launch the newest version of the design, simulation, and optimization solution for casting industries - Cast-Designer V7.7.
CAST-DESIGNER 7.7 is a major release version. More than fifteen new functions have been incorporated into the new version. The major enhancements and the new developments include:
New Software Interface
As the first CAD/CAE integrated together system in the marketing for casting industrial, Cast-Designer always makes efforts to make the system easy to use and flexible. Now, the ViewCube has been introduced to the main view of 26 pre-set views; the explode view can help the user to check the detail of assembly in a flexible way; the user can save and restore views to/from memory to have a quick location. More ever, the related quick functions of the mouse right button on the object tree can speed-up the operation.
New Design Functions of Gating System
To improve the CAD quality of the gating system, the runner generated method has been revised in the default setting. Now the following operation of the gating geometry data becomes more stable and robust, such as fillet radius and Boolean operation.
More sections could be inserted in the gate-runner, combined with the feature line of ingate. The Cast-Designer system can create any complex gating system now. Even if it is a 3D gate-runner or an unbalance gating system, we can build it quickly.
Fast Mesh in Parallelization
The 3D mesh generation tool (FastMesh) is fully paralleled to support the multi-CPUs/Cores system. It is faster two to five times than before depended on the computer configuration. This can save lots of time for big model like Giga casting.
Quick Mould Simulation
The calculation method of Quick Mould has been enhanced. Now, the Quick Mould simulation can support the cooling & heating channel, the cores and mould in 2D surface mesh.
This can save lots of time of CAE modeling, otherwise, the user need spend time to generate the full mould and make mould cycling simulation. The simulation result of quick mould in this way is always good enough and very robust.
Advance CFD and FEM Solver
The simulation speed and accuracy are always the hot topic of the simulation solvers. Both of them continue to improve.
For the CFD solver, the new fast CFD solver becomes the standard one. It can support all casting process and functions, the piston moving, cup filled control, termination sensor, centrifugal casting and the advance filter of gravity casting are fully supported by the fast CFD solver.
Now, the affection of high pressure to casting solidification could be simulated, includes in the CFD solver and FEM solver. The pressure could affect the shrinkage porosity, liquid/solid temperature and the contact HTC.
It could be used to simulate the 3rd phase pressure of HPDC, also the pressure affection of centrifugal casting in high revolution.
Casting Process
Centrifugal casting: Both the simulation speed and accuracy of centrifugal casting have been enhanced.
Low pressure die casting: a new method for pressure driven low pressure die casting simulation has been introduced in Cast-Designer V7.7. It is pressure driven flow and the physical friction factor could be taken account in this method.
Advance Spraying
An advance spraying function has been introduced to Cast-Designer for the spraying process design and simulation. The Advance spraying can consider the nozzle position, distance to die face and spraying angle as well as the robot arm tool path with the spraying head plate. It is benefit to the cast quality , die life time as well as the cost saving.
Support Giga Casting Simulation
The Giga casting brings big benefits to automotive and other industrial, to save time on assembly and keep stable quality. Cast-Designer added some big machine to the machine database, as well as the new materials data for Giga casting, special for the Non Heat Treatment (NHT) materials. The enhanced meshing, solvers and post-process also support big or huge model.
